4. PAY: Housing Deposit Information

The housing deposit is used as a pre-payment to confirm your housing offer acceptance. You will not get the money back. This is a non-refundable payment that will be put toward your first Housing Payment or to your student account

If you are offered housing at TWU, there will be 2 steps to confirm and accept your offer. 

• STEP 1: Accept your Housing Offer within your Student Portal
• STEP 2: Pay your Housing Deposit (Pre-payment) as confirmation of acceptance of your TWU housing offer. 

A Non-Refundable deposit of $500 CAD must be received as confirmation of acceptance of your TWU housing offer. You need to pay your Housing Deposit (pre-payment) as soon as you accept your housing offer. 

By accepting your Housing Offer, you agree to pay the $500 non-refundable deposit. 

If the deposit is not paid within 1 week*, you will forfeit your offer. Your application will be withdrawn, but the $500 charge will stay on your account.

*If the applied semester has started or you are within 1 month of your start date, you may have less than 1 week to confirm your housing offer due to the accelerated application process.

The Housing Deposit is STEP 2 of Accepting your Housing Offer. 

Once you accept your offer and check to acknowledge the Residential Agreement and Student Code of Conduct, you will need to complete the next step which is pay your Housing Deposit (Pre-Payment)

There are 3 ways that you can pay your Housing Deposit (Pre-Payment):

1. If you have a credit or an amount available in your student account, you may choose funds to be allocated to your Housing Deposit
2. OR You can pay with credit card immediately in the TWU shopping cart
3. OR You can redirect to Flywire and choose Housing to make your payment there

*Note that if you do not have a credit available in your student account, this payment option will not be made available to you.

If you choose to withdraw from housing, the $500 will be applied to your Student Account.
