TWU is not liable directly or indirectly for students' property or students' personal liability. All residents staying in Trinity Western University residences, including international students, will be automatically enrolled in the TWU Tenant master policy purchased by TWU.
This policy includes coverage subject to terms and conditions for: personal belongings, personal liability coverage, and added living expenses.

We are pleased to provide you with your Policy/Certificate of Insurance confirming the coverage provided to you as a resident of Trinity Western University under the Student Resident Insurance Program (the “Policy”), administered by Marsh Canada limited, managed by Excess Underwriting / Towerhill Insurance Agencies Inc. and underwritten by Certain Lloyd’s Underwriters.
The limits of coverage provided under the Policy are:
- Personal Property - $10,000 (subject to a $500 deductible)
- Additional Living Expenses - $2,500
- Personal Liability - $1,000,000
- Important Endorsements:
- Sewer Back-Up
- Primary & Non Contributory
- Minimum Retained Premium
The premium on this policy is fully earned and non-refundable. It is important that you review the Policy/Certificate of Insurance below to ensure the information is correct and we encourage you to review the policy wording to understand the coverage provided. Your coverage under this program will continue as long as you are a resident at Trinity Western University.
If and when you move out of your residence your coverage will cease.

Different limits of coverage apply to different types of property and these amounts are shown in the Policy wording in the subsection entitled “Specific Limits of Insurance” found under SECTION I – PROPERTY INSURANCE; Please take note that coverage for flood/overland water is not provided under this Policy. If the coverage and/or limits provided by this policy are insufficient to meet with your insurance requirements, Marsh Canada can provide you with a quotation for broader coverage or higher limits.
