Student Loans and Making Payments

Student Loans

When you are approved for a Student Loan, the funding does not usually arrive until after the first payment due date. Please review your statement to see what amount is due by what date.

***This first payment is due even if you have not received your funds as it secures your course registration as well as your housing placement if you are living in residence. If this payment is not received, you are at risk of being dropped from your classes. If you are unable to make your first payment, please see the instructions below for what to do next.

Instructions

  1. Let us know you are receiving a loan via the Helpdesk
  2.  Include in the request
    1. Whether it is a Canadian or US Loan
    2. your Notice of Assessment from your loan application (Canada Only).
  3. We will review your account and be in touch with you to confirm your first payment amount. Ensure you check your mytwu email address for a response, including your junk folder

Note:

  1. You will be dropped for non-payment from your registration and/or Housing if you do not reach out to us with this information.
  2. A payment or approved payment arrangement is required to secure your courses and housing.
