Connecting to VPN

To make a request for a VPN connection click here.

 

VPN for WINDOWS Computers

Click into your available network connections on the bottom right. Double click the VPN connection.

Or double click the desktop icon for VPN



Then click on VPN-TWU and then Connect to show the VPN login window


You can log on with your employee account in lower case:

firstname.lastname@twu.ca

*Some of you have a legacy account that is different from your email address.

Please use your legacy account username then attach the @twu.ca

(eg. danb@twu.ca)

Password is your regular email password

VPN for MAC Computers

Open your Network Settings

Click on the VPN Connection (TWU-L2TP)

Fill in the details with your <username>@twu.ca

Most of you have an account username that matches your email address
Some of you have an older legacy type account, and your account name for logging into your computer or webmail is different from your email address. Please use your legacy account name + @twu.ca even though that may not be your email address.

 

Then click on Authentication Settings.
Type in your password.

*If the Machine Authentication: Shared Secret is blank TWIT will need to re-install the profile.
 

Once you have filled in your password, and clicked OK, you can connect to VPN. 
You computer will ask if you want to apply the changes you made. Click Apply.

Once connected it should show a status bar for your connection.

You can check the box "Show VPN status in menu bar" so you don't need to open these settings for future connections.
