Transferring Tickets to IT from Another Department

If an IT ticket is sent to your department's ticket queue, the best way to send it to us is not to reassign it to us, but to move it to our ticket queue.  You can do this quickly by using the Move to Application action.

Move to Application

Click on Actions then click on Move to Application.

Next, select the place you wish to move the ticket to. 

A window will pop up.  The only required field when transferring a ticket to IT is the "ticket type" field.

You could either take the time to enter the ticket type (required field), or you can use “Just Need Help” if you aren’t sure what type it is.

After that, click Move at the very top of the ticket.  This will work the same way for transferring to other departments as well (those who use TD).
