View Shared Folder - Windows


*With the migration of Public Folders to Office 365, you can now view as a shared mailbox or calendar in Outlook.


If you added a Shared Calendar, you will see it in your calendar tab within Outlook.


Meeting Room

If you are adding a Meeting Room, you can do so from the Room List Tab within your Calendar.


Adding Shared Folder

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click into File on top left

  3. Click Open and Export --> Other User's Folder

  4. Type in the Name of the folder if you know it. Change the Folder Type if other than Mail Folder (eg. Calendar, Contact list)

  5. Optional Search if you aren't sure the name of the shared item.

  6. If you get a pop up for Autodiscover permission, click Remember, and Allow

  7. You should soon see the shared folder within your Outlook. It may take time to download all the data.


If you added a Shared Mailbox, you will see it under your primary Inbox within Outlook. You can add the Shared Inbox to your favorites for easy navigation.



If you added a Shared Contact, you will see it under your people tab within Outlook.
