Quick Start for Instructors

MyCourses is TWU’s centre for online learning. Its interactive features allow for true learning to extend beyond traditional classroom walls.

Mozilla Firefox is the recommended web browser to use when accessing all TWU websites, including MyCourses. If it is not already downloaded on your computer, we suggest that you download the latest version for free online.

How to Login to MyCourses as a Faculty Member

To Log In:

  1. Using Mozilla Firefox, go to http://courses.mytwu.ca.

  2. Click the blue Pass Signin.png button on the left hand side of the page.

  3. On the Sign In page, enter your TWU Pass user name and password. If you are using a computer at the university, simply click Employee Signin.png at the bottom of the Sign In page.

Alternatively, you can access MyCourses from the TWU home page.

  1. Access www.twu.ca

  2. Click "Log In: Faculty/Staff" in the upper left hand corner.

  3. Choose MyCourses from the horizontal list.

  4. Enter your username and password.

  5. Click "Sign In" and you'll be taken to an Overview of your courses.

Understanding the MyCourses Portal

After logging in, you will see a portal page with an Overview of your courses, Useful Links, and Announcements. Match the numbers in the screenshot to the numbered list below.

  1. View MyCourses training videos and FAQs or contact the eSupport Team for further assistance with MyCourses.

  2. Courses are organized by semester. Expand or collapse the courses in any particular semester by clicking the +/- symbol on the right hand side of the semester heading.

  3. Click on a course name to view the content of that particular course.

  4. It is important to check these announcements often; they are sent out by MyCourses site administrators.

Once you have clicked on a course name (3), you will be directed to the Course Homepage. You can now begin creating your course.
