I Have Both a Student and Staff Account, What Do I Do?

If you are a student who has become a staff at TWU, you might be run into issues because you have both a student and a staff account. You might find that people occasionally select the student e-mail in the address field of an email and then wonder why no one replies. A solution to this is to forward your emails from the student account to the staff account or to provide a provide an auto reply on your student account letting people know that you should be contacted at their staff account.

Forwarding Your E-Mail to Another Account

Log in to Office online with your @mytwu.ca email address

  1. In your browser, navigate to the Office website and sign in to your TWU Student Account. 

    Be aware that your TWU Student Account password may be different from your Staff Account. If you don't know your Student Account Password, please reset it here.

Forward Your Email

  1. Once loggin in to your Student Account, click on the gear in the top-right corner.
  2.  Select View all Outlook settings at the bottom of the side panel.


     
  3. Click the Enable forwarding box. Under Forward my email to:, type in your staff e-mail address.

    *Note: Select Keep a copy of forwarded messages to keep the original email in your student inbox*
     
  4.  Click Save.


     

Setting up Auto-Reply

  1. Log in to Office online with your @mytwu.ca email address
     
  2. On the menu bar on the right-hand side, click on View all Outlook settings at the bottom of the side panel.
     
  3. Select “Automatic replies”


     
  4. Enter in your desired automatic reply message. Select Send Automatic Replies Inside Your Organisation and Send Replies Outside Your Organisation.


     
  5. Click OK at the top of the screen when you are finished
